Senior Interior Designer (Fashion Retail Interiors)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: London
Working pattern: Studio-based
Software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Creative Suite
Sector: Commercial interiors, fashion retail
About the studio
Some studios build a reputation by shouting. This one built it by delivering, project after project, for the better part of thirty years. It started in London in the late nineties and now runs as an international practice with studios across three continents, but the work has stayed recognisably itself: luxury done well, with craft that survives close inspection.
The portfolio is unusually wide. Private homes, large mixed-use schemes, hospitality destinations, and occasionally a yacht or a private jet when the brief allows. Fashion retail is where the studio has made its name, though. Flagship stores for globally recognised fashion houses, the sort that collect best-in-class store design awards with slightly irritating regularity. If you have ever stood in a beautifully resolved luxury store and wondered how the detailing was pulled off, the odds are decent you have already met their work.
Culturally, this is a place preoccupied with the things other practices quietly skip: how a space makes you feel, how a material behaves under a particular light, where the joint lands. Collaborative, ambitious, and still run by people who get visibly excited about design. Good room to be in if you want your work seen and used.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a strong creative voice and a design process to match. This is a senior design role first and foremost. The studio wants someone who can shape the thinking behind a scheme, not just resolve it, and who can lead projects from first concept through to detailed design.
The timing is good. A strong pipeline of high-profile commercial and retail work is coming through, and the team is gearing up to meet it. You will land on live projects at different stages, pick up the thread quickly, and keep deadlines moving without diluting the idea. Commercial and retail experience is the starting point here, not a nice-to-have.
You will be a key voice in the room with clients and consultants, and a point of reference for the designers around you. They want someone who treats the commercial job a retail space has to do as part of the creative challenge, not a limit on it. If that reads like you, keep going.
