Editorial, Brand & Print | MedTech Marketing

Salary: Up to £45,000, DOE

Location: West London

Working pattern: Hybrid, minimum two days a week in the office

Software: Adobe Creative Suite

Sector: MedTech marketing (no medical or healthcare experience needed)

Progression: A clear path towards Senior Designer within six to twelve months

Before you read on. This isn't an artwork-heavy production role. They're looking for a confident graphic designer with strong print artworking and excellent editorial and brochure layout. If your experience is mainly production artworking, this one won't be the right fit.

About the Consultancy

They're a specialist MedTech consultancy with an in-house creative team that takes complex technologies and turns them into clear, beautifully designed work. Their job is to take complicated devices and make them make sense to clinicians, procurement teams, and patients. Two things matter above all: the quality of what they create, and the service they give the companies they work with.

It's a small, friendly business with a strong emphasis on community, and everything sits under one roof. The creative team is growing, and this hire is a big part of that.

About the Role

You'll be the third designer in the studio, joining an existing junior and midweight designer. You'll work closely with the Traffic & Creative Operations Manager, who oversees creative output, including brand consistency, quality, and delivery.

The work is broad: branding, brochures, exhibition materials, sales tools, and educational content, plus image retouching. You'll take projects from brief through to polished, print-ready and digital-ready artwork, and manage your own time across several projects at once.

A lot of the content is dense or technical. The biggest priority is taking that information and making it clear, engaging, and easy to digest through strong hierarchy, typography, and interesting page layouts.

They want someone who can bring a more progressive, creative visual approach to MedTech. Medical or regulated-sector experience is useful but not required. They're just as interested in someone from outside the sector who can raise the standard of the work while learning the technical and regulatory detail.

Your Days Will Look Something Like This

  • Designing and artworking brochures, branded assets, exhibition materials, sales tools, and educational content for medical device clients
  • Breaking dense or technical information into clear, digestible layouts
  • Taking ownership of projects from brief to final delivery, keeping quality high throughout
  • Developing new brand identities and working within client brand guidelines so every piece feels considered and consistent
  • Retouching imagery and producing finished, print-ready and digital-ready files
  • Managing your own time across several projects at once
  • Supporting the junior designer, sharing the thinking behind the work and giving thoughtful feedback
  • Contributing ideas and bringing outside inspiration into the studio
  • Joining the morning planning call (normally around 9:00 or 9:30) and collaborating with the account, content, and creative teams

You Might Be Our Perfect Match If

  • You're a confident midweight graphic designer with excellent editorial and brochure layout skills
  • You have strong print artworking skills and a careful eye for detail, particularly for print-ready files
  • You're comfortable both creating brands and working within them
  • You can take dense or technical information and make it clear, engaging, and easy to digest
  • You're fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with great image retouching
  • You're curious and inspired: you visit galleries, take an interest in design culture, and keep finding new references
  • You're open to feedback and not rigid or stuck in one way of working
  • You're sociable and collaborative, and want to be part of the team rather than treat the role as a remote production job
  • You're sensible, dependable, and comfortable helping a junior colleague develop
  • You have a keen interest in AI and how it can sharpen and speed up creative work
  • You're motivated by meaningful work and the healthcare impact it has

What they'd love to see in your portfolio: great breakdown of information, interesting layouts, good use of imagery and backgrounds, creative thinking that goes outside the box, and good branding skills.

In order of priority:

  1. Editorial and brochure design. Strong hierarchy, typography, and interesting page layouts, with complex information broken into digestible sections
  2. Print artworking. Finished, production-ready work rather than concepts alone
  3. Branding. Both developing identities and applying established guidelines consistently
  4. Technical or information-heavy content. Annual reports, corporate communications, technology, healthcare, science, education, or similar
  5. Exhibition and event materials. Useful, but secondary to layout, branding, and print craft

Why This One

  • A clear intention to develop you towards Senior Designer within six to twelve months
  • Meaningful, varied work for companies improving how healthcare is delivered
  • A friendly, in-house team where everything sits under one roof and your work is valued
  • Hybrid working with flexible start and finish times, and you're welcome in the office more often if you prefer
  • 25 days' holiday, plus your birthday off when it falls on a weekday
  • Private health insurance available
